~SAVE THE DATE~

Dear Propeller Club and Maritime Association Members,

There is less than one month remaining until the Inaugural Greater Charleston U.S. Coast Guard Tribute and Ball on Saturday, August 29.   The event is hosted by the Propeller Club of Charleston, the Navy League Charleston Council and the Coast Guard Foundation, with support from the Maritime Association of South Carolina.

We encourage you to reserve your seats soon!  You can register at:  https://www.propellerclubchs.com/events

The response from both the Coast Guard and the Charleston maritime community has been outstanding. We expect nearly 400 guests for what will be one of the largest Coast Guard celebrations ever held in the Lowcountry.

This event is more than a military ball—it is a community-wide tribute to the men and women of the United States Coast Guard and to Charleston's designation as an official U.S. Coast Guard Community.  It is also an opportunity for maritime leaders to celebrate alongside service members that safeguard our ports, waterways, commerce, fisheries, and maritime interests every day.

The evening will feature:

* The Vice Commandant of the U.S. Coast Guard as our guest speaker

* Recognition of Coast Guard service in the Charleston region

* A swearing-in ceremony for future Coast Guardsmen

* An elegant dinner, open bar, music, dancing, and opportunities to connect with Coast Guard leaders, local government officials, and members of the maritime community.

If you have been considering attending—or sponsoring—now is the time. We are approaching our final planning milestones and must provide our guaranteed attendance to the venue by Wednesday, August 12.

Your participation helps make this event possible and supports our goal of keeping ticket prices affordable for junior enlisted Coast Guard members while demonstrating the Charleston maritime community's appreciation for their service.

We hope you will join us for this historic inaugural celebration.Thank you for everything you do to support our maritime community and the United States Coast Guard.

Respectfully,

Michael McAllister

Vice Admiral,

U.S. Coast Guard (Ret.)

Chair, Greater Charleston U.S. Coast Guard Tribute & Ball
