International Propeller Club of US Annual Convention Event.png

Event Description

The International Propeller Club of the United States is a global network of non-profit organizations dedicated to the maritime community.  The Club's annual convention will bring stakeholders together in an information, discussion, and debate forum to benefit the shipping and world it serves.  This year, the 97th Annual Convention will be hosted by the Port of Charleston in our home of Charleston, South Carolina.  Last year, the Port of Piraeus hosted the convention in Athens, Greece.  This was the first convention since the onset of the global pandemic and was themed "We Are Together."  The conference was a huge success; we will build on that success while adding a hint of our Southern charm.  This year our focus is on "Propelling Tomorrow with Innovation Today."

We will bring together distinguished speakers and delegates from across the globe to discuss various topics regarding innovation and sustainability in key areas of port management and logistics, digitalization, human resources, maritime education and training, and more.  Our agenda and topics are still being finalized, but for now, you can see what we have planned each day HERE.  We would be honored if you would kick off our conference and welcome the global audience at the Welcome Keynote Session.  Learn more about our KEYNOTE SPEAKERS and when they will be speaking.  There's still time to be a sponsor of this great event, so check out the available SPONSORSHIPS.

What is the weather like in Charleston in late September?  The weather in Charleston SC in September is still hot, but you can start to feel the signs of cooling down in the evenings. The average high temperature is about 83 and the low is 72, so the warm and mild weather makes going outside very enjoyable. It can still be a bit humid, but less so than during the peak summer months.
